Romelu Lukaku is reportedly eyeing a return to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
The forward arrived from the Italian club last summer to rejoin Chelsea on a five-year deal, having previously been contracted to the West London side from 2011 to 2014.
Despite scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances in the 2021-22 season, the Belgium international has found it tough in his Premier League return, previously admitting that he was struggling in Thomas Tuchel's system before apologising for the comments made to Italian media.
Although he only signed for the Blues last summer, according to Sky Sports News, the Belgian striker wants to return to Inter if Chelsea can agree a deal with the Serie A side.
However, the report states that the Coppa Italia holders cannot afford to sign Lukaku on a permanent deal, which could hinder a potential move.
Lukaku is looking to make a return to Inter after helping them win the Serie A title in the 2020-2021 season, while he scored 64 goals in 95 appearances for the Italian giants.
