Oriol Romeu wants Valencia stay

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu says that he wants to remain with Valencia for at least one more season.

Oriol Romeu has revealed that he wants to remain with Valencia for at least one more season.

The Spanish midfielder is currently on loan at the Mestalla from Chelsea, but he is due to return to his parent club at the end of the campaign.

The former Barcelona graduate, however, has claimed that he will "fight to stay for another year" and has even hinted at the possibility of a permanent move.

"My position is as I've always said, I want to be here, I want to give everything to Valencia, have a great year and finish the season well," Romeu told reporters at a press conference.

"When the season is over, we'll sit down and talk. I've always said that I want to be comfortable where I am and happy. I will fight to stay for another year, or however many more."

Romeu struggled for fitness in the early part of the season, but has recently enjoyed a regular run in the team.
