Mohamed Salah's transfer from Basel to Chelsea is wrapped up, Blues manager Jose Mourinho said this afternoon.
The West London side look set to add a promising 21-year-old Egyptian international to their ranks, beating off competition from Liverpool to sign the playmaker from Swiss club Basel.
When asked by ITV Sport whether the deal had gone through, Mourinho replied: "Yes."
Salah scored on both occasions when Chelsea met Basel in the Champions League earlier this season.
Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on their former player Thomas Ince after missing out on Salah.
