Juan Mata move delayed by Mohamed Salah chase?

Chelsea's midfielder Juan Mata won't complete his move to Manchester United until the Blues agree a deal for Basel winger Mohamed Salah, according to reports.

Chelsea will not allow midfielder Juan Mata to complete a move to Manchester United until they have secured a deal to sign Mohamed Salah from Basel, according to reports.

Mata is on the verge of sealing a £37m switch to Old Trafford, and it had earlier been expected that the Spaniard would become a Manchester United player after passing a medical on Thursday.

However, according to The Mirror, Chelsea are refusing to allow Mata to depart Stamford Bridge until the club can receive assurances that they can bring Salah to West London as a replacement.

Liverpool are also interested in the Egyptian, and it was reported that the 21-year-old favoured a move to Anfield because of the expectancy of more playing time for Brendan Rodgers's outfit.
