Wolfsburg reject Andre Schurrle speculation

Wolfsburg dismiss speculation that they are keen on signing Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle.

Wolfsburg sporting executive Klaus Allofs has rejected speculation that the club wants to sign Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle.

Reports last week suggested that the Bundesliga side were preparing a £23m bid for the Germany international.

Schurrle's future at Stamford Bridge is thought to be in doubt following a lack of first-team action this season.

However, when asked if Wolfsburg are interested in the 24-year-old, Allofs told Bild: "A very clear no. There's nothing to [the speculation]. Even if we were interested, we'd certainly not be alone."

Borussia Dortmund are also understood to be keen on signing Schurrle.
