League Two roundup: Great day for Oxford United

Oxford United are the day's big winners in League Two, as they win 3-1 at Hartlepool United, while two of their title rivals suffer defeats at home.

Chris Wilder's men climbed to second in the table after winning 3-1 at Hartlepool United.

The U's day was further enhanced by home defeats for two of their title rivals.

Leaders Chesterfield lost 1-0 to Mansfield Town, who now sit third.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood Town conceded two goals in the last 14 minutes as they were beaten 2-1 by Exeter City.

Scot Bennett's late double sees the Grecians rise to sixth, just one point shy of the automatic promotion places.

Elsewhere, Portsmouth suffered their second consecutive defeat as they lost 4-2 at York City.

A stoppage-time winner from Jamie Cureton secured Cheltenham Town a 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon.

Newport County earned back-to-back wins in the Football League for the first time in 25 years, as they overcame Torquay United 2-1 at Rodney Parade.

There were home wins for Dagenham & Redbridge and Rochdale over Bury and Wycombe Wanderers respectively.

Finally, the games involving Northampton Town, Morecambe, Plymouth Argyle and Accrington Stanley ended goalless.
