Debrecen 0-3 Club Brugge

Club Brugge secure a 3-0 first-leg lead in their Europa League qualifying tie against Hungarian side Debrecen.

Club Brugge put themselves firmly in the driving seat to reach the Europa League group stages with a 3-0 qualifying first-leg victory over Debrecen this evening.

The Hungarians were pre-match underdogs despite home advantage, and their task was made all the more difficult in first-half stoppage time.

Honduran defender Luis Ramos was dismissed for a foul on Lior Refaelov, leaving Debrecen a man light for the whole second half.

Brugge took full advantage with second-half goals through Refaelov, Jonathan Blondel and Carlos Bacca.

Brugge are now overwhelming favourites to progress following next week's second leg in the Belgian capital.
