Steven Pressley "flattered" to be linked with Huddersfield Town job

Steven Pressley reveals that he is "truly happy" to remain as manager of Coventry City, despite being linked with the vacant role at Huddersfield Town.

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that he is "flattered" to have been linked with the vacant managerial position at Huddersfield Town.

The 40-year-old is one of the main contenders to replace Mark Robins, who was sacked from his position at the John Smith's Stadium last weekend.

However, the Sky Blues boss says that he wants to remain at Coventry for the foreseeable future.

"It's obviously flattering to be connected with such a job but I am truly happy at this football club," Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph.

"I've begun what I believe is a long journey developing the club and bringing through our young players, putting some pride back into the football club.

"I'm only scratching the surface in doing that so there's a lot of work to be done over the coming years and I certainly hope I'll be here to see that through."

Coventry exited the Capital One Cup at the first-round stage last night following a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff City at Sixfields.
