Crawley Town bring in goalkeeping duo

Crawley Town bring in former Birmingham City goalkeeper Callum Preston and Newcastle United shotstopper Freddie Woodman ahead of the new season.

Crawley Town have signed former Birmingham City goalkeeper Callum Preston on a one-year contract and Newcastle United shotstopper Freddie Woodman on loan until January 2.

Preston, 19, had been training with the League Two club after being released by the Blues earlier this summer.

Newcastle academy graduate Woodman, 18, has been capped three times by England at Under-19 level.

Crawley have now signed nine new players this summer.

Mark Yates's side start the new season with a trip to Oxford United on August 8.
