Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson suggests that winger Wilfried Zaha is a doubt for the club's Premier League fixture with Liverpool on Saturday.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said that he will be "very cautious" regarding the fitness of winger Wilfried Zaha.

Before the international break, Hodgson claimed that Zaha had made a quick recovery from a knee problem, and the Ivory Coast international featured in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

However, Zaha was substituted during the closing stages of that game, and Hodgson has suggested that the attacker may have returned from injury too soon.

At a press conference, Hodgson told reporters: "He has not been doing any training with us to any great extent. We are nursing the knee problem that he has. He is one that we will have a look at tomorrow and we hope that the knee will be okay.

"We have had to be very cautious with him after the Huddersfield game because he came back from injury a lot earlier than perhaps he should have done."

Palace play host to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon with the chance to move five points clear of the relegation zone.
