Crystal Palace will reportedly pay Roy Hodgson a £1m bonus if he manages to retain the club's Premier League status this season.
The former England manager is expected to take the hotseat at Selhurst Park after Frank de Boer was sacked five games into his reign.
The Dutchman, who won four Eredivisie titles while in charge of Ajax, lost all four of his Premier League games with Palace, which ultimately led to his early dismissal.
According to the Daily Mail, Hodgson is on the verge of taking over at the London club on a two-year deal, and he will have the added incentive of keeping the Eagles in the top flight due to a £1m bonus.
The contract itself is believed to be worth £2.5m a year, but Hodgson has a big job on his hands considering that Palace are sitting at the bottom of the table with zero points.
The 70-year-old has been out of work since stepping down as England boss following a disastrous campaign at the European Championships in 2016.
