Cardiff City come back from 1-0 down at half time to beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

Cardiff City completed a second half comeback to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park on the final day of the Championship season.

Liam Lawrence's right-footed shot from 20 yards was the first effort of the game, though it was comfortably saved by Lewis Price.

On 13 minutes, Palace got themselves a goal in front through Wilfried Zaha after he was fed by Darren Ambrose from the right wing. The forward fired home from 18 yard out to make it 1-0.

Price denied Cardiff an equaliser when he easily caught Joe Mason's header from 12 yards out.

Moments later, Glenn Murray's header was saved by David Marshall to deny the home side a second goal.

The home side took a 1-0 lead into half time.

A foul by Matthew Parsons on Lawrence gave Cardiff a free kick in a dangerous area, 25 yards out. Peter Whittingham took the free kick on 53 minutes and hit it low into the back of the net to bring the scores level at 1-1.

Carfiff began to take hold of the game in the middle of the park and dominate proceedings.

Lawrence hit a shot from 20 yards which was saved by Price.

Cardiff made it 2-1 on 62 minutes when Don Cowie volleyed home from 20 yards out.

Cardiff saw out the game to confirm all three points and a place in the playoffs after finishing the season in 6th place. Palace finished the season in 17th place, despite the defeat.
