Crystal Palace are believed to be closing in on the transfer of Stoke City midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.
Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish revealed on Tuesday that the club are "confident" of signing an unnamed Premier League midfielder before the start of the season.
Sky Sports News claims that Potters enforcer N'Zonzi is the mystery target of Tony Pulis, who brought the Frenchman to the Britannia Stadium when he was in charge of Stoke in 2012.
The 25-year-old began as a regular under Mark Hughes before falling out of favour towards the end of last season, and reportedly handed in a transfer request for the second summer running in May.
Pulis is seemingly keen on reuniting with N'Zonzi, who has made 78 appearances for Stoke since joining from Blackburn Rovers for £3m, and hopes to have him available for their match at Arsenal on Saturday.
