Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has admitted that the Eagles are weighing up a possible move for Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togolese striker is a free agent having left Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent earlier this season.
Recent reports claimed that Palace were keen on signing the 31-year-old amid an injury crisis in attack, and Pardew did not distance the club from a move when quizzed today.
"We are trying to bring a striker in, whether it's permanent or on loan," Pardew told reporters. "Chairman Steve Parish and I are working on it.
"Emmanuel Adebayor is a player that's there for somebody. It's a question of teams like ourselves asking whether we're the right fit."
Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp recently urged Premier League clubs to take a punt on Adebayor this month.
