Crystal Palace to sign Emmanuel Adebayor this week?

Crystal Palace could reportedly sign free agent Emmanuel Adebayor before the end of the week.

Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on the signing of free agent Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Eagles have been linked with the Togolese striker recently, but manager Alan Pardew seemed to distance himself from the speculation last week.

According to The Mirror, Palace have switched their attention to Adebayor after their moves for Fiorentina's Khouma Babacar and Chelsea's Loic Remy came to nothing.

The report adds that Adebayor, who left Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent in September, could sign this week in time for Saturday's match against his former club Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
