Scottish Championship roundup: Dumbarton go top

Sports Mole rounds up the afternoon's Scottish Championship action as Dumbarton make it back-to-back wins.

Dumbarton made it back-to-back wins to go joint-top of the Scottish Championship with a 2-1 win over St Mirren on Saturday afternoon.

Willie Gibson gave the visitors the lead before the half-hour mark, but they were pegged back by Scott Agnew's equaliser on 63 minutes.

However, Garry Fleming netted from the penalty spot inside the final five minutes to give Dumbarton the points.

Kyle Benedictus was sent off for the travelling Raith Rovers as they were beaten 1-0 by Falkirk.

Benedictus was shown a second yellow on 71 minutes before Mark Kerr made the home side's numerical advantage count with 10 minutes remaining.

Jason Cummings's effort just before the hour mark was enough for Hibernian as they beat the visiting Greenock Morton 1-0.

An injury to an official delayed Livingston's meeting with Queen of the South by 20 minutes, but it was the visitors who triumphed at the Almondvale Stadium.

Lewis Kidd's strike after the hour mark gave Queen of the South the points who went second after the first game of their new season.
