Three goals in the opening half of football handed Dundee United a comprehensive 3-0 win over rivals Dundee.
It was the home side who started the better, and they took the lead after just 14 minutes when Gavin Gunning thumped a header into the back of the net from close range.
The pressure continued late in the half, and it was two and quickly three when Johnny Russell grabbed a brace five minutes before the interval.
Chances remained few and far between in the second period, with the referee handing out two red cards in the latter stages of the match.
Russell - the scorer of two goals before the break - was dismissed for the home side, while Stephen O'Donnell was given his marching orders for Dundee.
