Real Sociedad striker Imanol Agirretxe suffers a hamstring injury in his side's 3-0 win over Elche on Friday.

Real Sociedad striker Imanol Agirretxe is expected to be out until 2015 after suffering a hamstring tear in his side's 3-0 win over Elche on Friday.

The experienced forward was forced to leave the field after just seven minutes, with scans revealing that the Spaniard had picked up a grade two hamstring tear.

It is understood that the 27-year-old will not return before the winter break in Spain, leaving Alfred Finnbogason to lead the line.

Sociedad return to action against Real Oviedo in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
