Fabio Capello considers the controversy around the England rugby team ahead of choosing a Euro 2012 base for the Three Lions in Poland.

England boss Fabio Capello believes that the location of the Three Lions base in the European Championships next year should not be the focus of the tournament.

Reports that the England squad were disappointed with their location in South Africa for the World Cup emerged during the competition.

However, the Italian boss backs the Rustenburg site and has taken the recent antics of the England rugby team in New Zealand into consideration.

"In South Africa we selected the best place to prepare for the World Cup," said Capello. "Everything was okay.

"I read something about what happened during the preparations for the World Cup. It said it was a boring period for the players.

"I also saw what happened with the rugby team. One too boring, the other too happy. The best way is the result. If we win everything is okay, if we lose it will be wrong."

Chairman of the Football Association, David Bernstein has encouraged the Three Lions team to interact with the public when they head out to Poland next summer.
