Former England international Gary Lineker admits his delight at the recovery of Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba and former Birmingham City boss Trevor Francis.

Former England striker Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the recovery of Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba.

The 24-year-old Bolton star has recently been discharged from the London Chest Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on March 17, and will continue his recovery closer to his home in the North West of England.

"I see Fabrice Muamba has been released from hospital. How good is that?" Lineker tweeted.

The BBC Pundit also commented on the recent release of former England international Trevor Francis, who suffered a suspected heart attack on Friday.

"Trevor Francis also discharged from hospital after a suspected heart attack. Good news all round."

Lineker played 80 times for his country.
