Everton defender Luke Garbutt has revealed that he will be sidelined for six weeks through injury.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Fulham, limped out of the Cottagers' friendly with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

England Under-21 international Garbutt tweeted: "The latest on my injury is disappointing. I'm out for 6 weeks, I will do everything to get back on the pitch as soon as possible!"

Everton start the new Premier League season at home to Watford on Saturday, while Fulham travel to Cardiff City in the Championship.
