Everton in talks with Indian backers

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright is in talks with Indian company the Jain Group over a possible takeover.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright is in talks with Indian backers to take over at the club, according to The Mirror.

The 66-year-old is reportedly speaking with the Mumbai-based Jain Group.

The company has a portfolio of property and energy businesses and now wants to expand to England.

Toffees boss David Moyes has brought in few players to Goodison Park in recent years due to a lack of money.

Kenwright would be expected to stay on at the club in some capacity should a deal be struck.
