Leon Osman praises Kevin Mirallas for the creativity he brings to Everton.

Everton midfielder Leon Osman has hailed the creative spark that Kevin Mirallas brings to the side.

The Belgium international's fine solo effort was enough to give the Blues a 1-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday, and Osman has said that Mirallas has the talent to decide tight games such as the one against Tony Pulis's team.

"Kevin can light up a game at times, it's important that we try and get him in the game as much as possible," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"We knew it wasn't going to be about the football you play, it was going to be about battling and maybe nicking a goal with a good individual moment and that's what happened.

"You might get 20 minutes when he's not in the game, but when he is we all know what he can produce."

Mirallas signed from Greek side Olympiacos last summer.
