Romelu Lukaku 'rubbishes claims of private-jet rift with Everton'

Romelu Lukaku appears to laugh off reports that he was angry with Everton for not paying for his flight home from international duty via private jet.

Romelu Lukaku has appeared to rubbish claims that he is angry with Everton for having to pay for his own flight home via private jet.

The 23-year-old is believed to have travelled back to the UK from Cyprus with his club and international teammate Kevin Mirallas following Belgium's 3-0 win on Tuesday.

It was reported that Lukaku was annoyed with Everton's refusal to cover the £6,500 cost of the flight due to the team playing their next Premier League game on Monday rather than the weekend.

However, the striker seems to have laughed off the rumours by tweeting: "Waking up to some BS again this morning 😂. C'mon man people don't have time to read these nonsense..."

This season, Lukaku has not yet scored a goal for Everton, who have played four games in all competitions so far.
