Roberto Martinez calls for 'hostile' environment upon return of David Moyes

Everton boss Roberto Martinez calls on fans to produce a hostile environment once his side's game gets underway with Manchester United this Sunday.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has called on fans to produce a hostile environment once his side's game gets underway with Manchester United on Sunday.

The Toffees coach has paid tribute to David Moyes following his time at the club, but has said that all of the praise will go out of the window once the game begins.

"We all know how important the game is and how vital the three points are," Martinez told reporters, according to Goal.com.

"All the nice welcoming is going to be after the final whistle. We have got a great understanding of who is coming back but we have to understand they represent the opposition.

"We will show the respect to David Moyes. His work has been terrific. As a former Everton manager, every Evertonian has got great memories of the job he did with the football club.

"[But] we need to make it as hostile as we can for the opposition."

Everton currently find themselves in fifth position in the Premier League table, as they aim to gain Champions League qualification.
