Roberto Martinez fearful over Ross Barkley injury

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals that Ross Barkley may have broken his toe.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Ross Barkley may have suffered a broken toe.

The youngster sustained the foot injury in the Blues' 2-0 win against Norwich City.

"We fear Ross Barkley has a broken toe," Martinez told reporters.

"He will be scanned but he could be out for some time. It is difficult to say how long it will be. I thought this was going to be a difficult game but I was really pleased. Even when Norwich had a proper go, we kept our concentration."

The win against the Canaries took Martinez's side back into the top four in the Premier League.
