Half-Time Report: Gareth Barry gives Everton lead against Norwich City

Everton lead Norwich City 1-0 after 45 minutes of their Premier League match this afternoon.

A goal from Gareth Barry has given Everton a half-time lead in their Premier League match against Norwich City.

Seamus Coleman tested John Ruddy in the opening stages, but his effort from range was well held by the keeper.

Romelu Lukaku wasted a gilt-edged chance to score for Everton, as he headed wide from close range.

Barry gave Everton the lead midway through the first half, when he picked up the ball 25 yards out from goal before lashing in a powerful strike past Ruddy.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel almost responded immediately for the visitors, but Tim Howard tipped his long-range strike over the bar.

Coleman had another chance to add to Eveton's lead, but when he was picked out at the back post he fired a strike over the bar.
