Everton boss Roberto Martinez: 'Crystal Palace are dangerous side to face'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes that Crystal Palace pose a dangerous threat following the arrival of Alan Pardew as manager.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that his players face a difficult test against Crystal Palace this weekend.

The Toffees have struggled in recent weeks by failing to win any of their last six Premier League fixtures, four of which ended in defeat.

In contrast, since Alan Pardew's arrival at Palace, the team have come from behind to win their last two league matches.

"They have scored six goals away from home in their last two games and they are in a very good moment of their season, if not the best," Martinez told reporters. "For us they have been a bit of a bogey side. The last three games at Goodison have always had a lot of goals.

"They bring a lot of threat and pace and are well organised defensively. With a new manager they will be full of confidence and they are a very dangerous team to face."

In this fixture last season, the teams played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.
