Everton manager Sam Allardyce reveals that he plans to take his squad back to Dubai next season.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he plans to take his squad back to Dubai next season.

The Toffees, who were not involved in FA Cup action last weekend, used the break to travel to the Middle East for a warm-weather training camp.

Allardyce praised the "outstanding" service the team received in Dubai, while revealing that he has no doubts about planning his next trip.

"It's been absolutely outstanding, the way the hotel has looked after us," the manager told reporters. "The training facilities are fantastic, the players have really enjoyed the training.

"In fact, we've had to make them stop training they have been enjoying it so much! The benefits are too great for us not to return. We are sorry we're out the FA Cup. Of course we would have loved to have stayed in it, and it was a spirited performance against Liverpool.

"We got knocked out with the late header from [Virgil] van Dijk, so we take this opportunity to take the break. I come back every year and there's no doubt about [returning]."

Everton return to domestic action with a game against Watford on Saturday evening.
