Leon Osman scores late to secure a point for Everton from their home match against Norwich City this afternoon.

Leon Osman cancelled out a goal from Grant Holt to secure a point for Everton at home to Norwich City this afternoon.

Canaries captain Holt collected possession from strike partner Steve Morison in the 28th minute before slotting the ball into the corner of the net from close range.

Everton responded positively but Louis Saha saw his 32nd minute shot saved by John Ruddy in the Norwich goal.

Ruddy was called into action again after the break to deny Saha again, while Leon Osman also saw a shot blocked by the former Everton goalkeeper.

The 25-year-old was finally beaten nine minutes from time by Osman, who turned in a cross from substitute Royston Drenthe.

Dutchman Drenthe then went close to claiming a winning goal but Ruddy managed to turn his 30-yard effort over the bar.

The home side continued to push for a winning goal but they were unable to breach Ruddy's net for a second time.
