Everton striker Nikica Jelavic makes his Premier League return for the visit of Southampton to Goodison Park this afternoon.

Nikica Jelavic has completed his recovery from a knee injury to be named in the starting lineup for Everton's clash with Southampton this afternoon.

The Croatian striker will play in the league for the first time since suffering the setback against Newcastle United.

Steven Pienaar, Tim Howard and Phil Jagielka all return to first-team duty after being rested for the Capital One Cup defeat to Leeds United in midweek.

Saints midfielder Jack Cork misses out after the confirmation that he will be sidelined for six weeks with a knee injury but Adam Lallana does play after becoming a father earlier this week.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Heitinga, Neville, Osman, Pienaar, Coleman, Fellaini, Jelavic, Mirallas

Southampton: Gazzaniga, Clyne, Yoshida, Fonte, Lambert, Davis, Rodriguez, Ramirez, Ward-Prowse, Lallana, Richardson
