Everton striker Omar Niasse is selected up front by Toffees caretaker manager David Unsworth as Wayne Rooney also starts in midfield against Watford.

Everton striker Oumar Niasse has been selected up front as Wayne Rooney starts in midfield for this afternoon's visit of Watford.

The forward scored two goals in his side's comeback victory over Bournemouth in September and will lead the line against the Hornets today.

Centre-back Michael Keane is the only defender to keep his spot following Everton's Europa League exit to Lyon on Thursday - Jonjoe Kenny, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines are all brought in.

In midfield, Beni Baningime starts after not featuring against Lyon, while Rooney also returns to the starting lineup.

Marco Silva makes two changes to the side that lost to Stoke City last time out - Will Hughes replaces Etienne Capoue while Andre Gray starts in attack in place of Troy Deeney.

Everton: Pickford; Kenny, Keane, Jagielka, Baines; Baningime, Gueye; Davies, Sigurdsson, Rooney; Niasse
Subs: Robles, Williams, Lennon, Besic, Calvert-Lewin, Holgate, Lookman

Watford: Gomes; Femenia, Kabasele, Britos, Holebas; Cleverley, Doucoure; Carrillo, Hughes, Richarlison; Gray
Subs: Karnezis, Mariappa, Janmaat, Watson, Capoue, Sinclair, Okaka
