Everton not finished in transfer market

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that he is still on the lookout for new players.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that he is still looking to bring players in before the transfer window closes.

The new Blues boss has already brought in Arouna Kone, Joel Robles and Antolin Alcaraz, as well as securing the season-long loan of Barcelona starlet Gerard Deulofeu.

"It's not about being hopeful [of bringing someone in], it's about working hard and trying to identify maybe one player if we could, but he has to be the right character to adapt to what we want to do at Everton," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"It's not that we are desperate in terms of numbers - that is not the case. We've got good numbers in the squad but we need maybe to have a little bit of help in an area.

"As I say, we will work extremely hard in that respect."

The Toffees welcome West Bromwich Albion to Goodison Park this afternoon.
