Everton to pounce for Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio?

Sporting Lisbon and Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio is a rumoured £6m target for Everton boss Ronald Koeman.

Everton are ready to make a bid to land Portugal's Euro 2016 hero Rui Patricio from Sporting Lisbon, according to a report.

The 28-year-old was named as the competition's best goalkeeper after helping his country to a surprise success in France.

Patricio could be available for just £6m during the current window should an offer be made, with the Sporting stopper said to be desperate for a move to the Premier League.

The Sun reports that Ronald Koeman is now weighing up a potential transfer for the Portuguese, but is also hopeful of making a shock swoop for Manchester City's Joe Hart - his top target at this stage.

Everton are looking to recruit another keeper this summer after seeing Tim Howard depart for the MLS at the end of last season.
