Roberto Martinez: 'We will be a stronger team at the end of the transfer window'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez vows that his side will only add to the quality in their squad during the rest of the transfer window.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has insisted that his side will be stronger at the end of the transfer window.

Defender John Stones has been linked with a move away from the club, with Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly interested in the 21-year-old.

The Toffees are adamant that they will not be selling the England international as Martinez has vowed that he will only be adding to the quality of his team.

He told reporters: "Every window, we become stronger with a clear idea of the continuity we want in the squad. As a club we want to be measured in how we turn around the squad.

"Our assets are getting stronger, our young ones getting more mature. Yes we need three more but two of the young players will be in first team squad and we will get stronger when we bring signings in as well. It's how you can attract the ones we need at this club."

Everton play Southampton in their Premier League clash later today.
