Kevin Mirallas 'close to Everton departure'

Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Greek champions Olympiacos.

Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is reportedly on the verge of joining Greek side Olympiacos.

The 30-year-old has found himself out of favour at Goodison Park so far this season, making only two Premier League starts and failing to play a single minute in the top flight under manager Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce is understood to be looking to overhaul his squad during the January window and, having already seen Ross Barkley leave for Chelsea, Mirallas could be next out of the door on Merseyside.

The Belgian was close to joining Olympiacos during the summer transfer window and even wore the club's shinguards on international duty, although a move never materialised.

However, the Greek champions have retained their interest and are apparently close to finalising a deal to bring him back to the club, where he spent two years before joining Everton in 2012.
