Fiorentina sign Massimo Ambrosini

Fiorentina have signed former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini on a one-year deal following his release by the Rossoneri at the end of last season.

Fiorentina have completed the signing of midfielder Massimo Ambrosini on a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old left AC Milan at the end of last season when his contract wasn't renewed after spending 18 years at the club.

A statement on Fiorentina's website said: "Fiorentina wish to communicate that the club have purchased the rights to the player Massimo Ambrosini.

"The footballer has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until 30 June 2014."

Ambrosini joins Marcos Alonso and Joaquin in lining up for the Serie A side this summer.
