France midfielder Paul Pogba has dismissed suggestions that he is a lazy player ahead of the World Cup.
Despite recently being told by Didier Deschamps that he needs to remove the "superfluous aspects" in his game, Pogba has insisted that he is always desperate to produce his best form when playing for his country or Juventus.
"People think I am lazy and that I play easy," the 21-year-old told reporters. "But that's been my style of football since I was little and it doesn't stop me from being focused.
"I'm hoping to raise my game in Brazil and work to be the best I possibly can be. I always try to do my best."
France begin their World Cup campaign against Group E rivals Honduras on Sunday.
