Aaron Hughes eyeing "good season" with Fulham

Aaron Hughes is confident that Fulham will enjoy a successful 2012-13 season.

Fulham defender Aaron Hughes has said that he is confident he and his teammates will enjoy a successful 2012-13 campaign.

The Cottagers have made a positive start to the Premier League, winning 5-0 against Norwich City in the opening weekend before narrowly losing 3-2 at Manchester United on Saturday.

"We did really well against Norwich and there's a lot we can take from the Man Utd game too," Hughes told Fulham's official website.

"It's been a good start, but there's a long way to go yet. We're solid at the back, have players with a lot of creativity in midfield and up front we can score goals - it's a nice balance.

"With that in mind, looking ahead, we could have a good season."

Fulham will take on Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup second round at the Hillsborough Stadium on Tuesday.
