Kieran Richardson: 'Felix Magath working us hard'

Fulham winger Kieran Richardson admits that Felix Magath is training the players hard, but that they are behind his methods.

Fulham winger Kieran Richardson has admitted that the players are working hard with new manager Felix Magath to improve their fitness ahead of the final 11 Premier League games of the season.

Richardson said that the players are behind Magath's methods and will do everything to ensure that Fulham escape the drop this season.

"We're still relatively quite fit but, bearing in mind the position we're in, if we're required to be fitter, we'll do what it takes to remain in the Premier League," he told the club's official website.

"We're willing to run that extra mile to stay in the Premier League and I think the guys have got their heads around that. If it means we have to train twice a day we'll do that because we know how important this is.

"He gets results and he gets the job done. Some things are hard but we don't want things to be easy, especially in the position we're in. As players we focus on playing as a team and going out there to try to get results."

Fulham take on Chelsea in the West London derby on Saturday afternoon.
