Fulham owner Shahid Khan: 'Slavisa Jokanovic has final say on transfers'

Fulham owner Shahid Khan insists that manager Slavisa Jokanovic has "the final judgment" when it comes to transfer activity.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has insisted that manager Slavisa Jokanovic will have "the final judgment" on any transfer business.

The pair have previously fallen out over Khan's preference for a data-led approach when selecting transfer targets and although Khan has insisted that will continue to be a factor going forward, he admitted that it would be "crazy" to bring in players against Jokanovic's wishes.

"Why wouldn't you want to have a player the manager isn't going to play? It would be crazy, wouldn't it?" Khan, who also owns NFL side the Jacksonville Jaguars, told Get West London.

"But the approach we've had, you want to qualify a player on a number of different metrics, but the final judgement is the manager's. We have more of a collaborative process.

"Impetuosity, which has happened at football clubs including Fulham, we don't want that. We want a more thought-out process, where the manager has the final say, but other factors come into the process."

Fulham, who are currently 14th in the Championship, brought in 14 new players over the summer, including three loan signings.
