Fulham are still interested in signing Southampton defender Matt Targett in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Fulham are reportedly still interested in signing Southampton defender Matt Targett.

The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham - scoring once in 21 appearances for the Cottagers as they secured promotion to the Premier League.

Fulham are believed to have had a £5m offer knocked back by Southampton, with Saints boss Mark Hughes said to be keen to keep the defender in this summer's transfer window.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Fulham are still interested in signing the full-back, and could make another approach in the coming days.

Targett has represented Southampton 42 times since making his first-team debut during the 2014-15 campaign.
