Ross McCormack signs new Fulham contract until 2019

Ross McCormack signs a new contract at Fulham until 2019, with the option of a one-year extension.

Fulham have announced that striker Ross McCormack has put pen to paper on a new contract at Craven Cottage.

The 29-year-old was linked with a move to Middlesbrough during the January transfer window, but he has opted to extend his stay with the Cottagers.

McCormack's new contract will run until 2019, but he has the option of extending the deal by a further year.

After joining the club from Leeds United in 2014, the striker scored 19 times in his first season and is on course to beat that total in the current campaign as he is on 18 goals.

Sixteen of McCormack's goals have come in the Championship, where Fulham currently reside 18th in the standings, 10 points above relegation and 18 adrift of the top six.

The striker is the second-highest scorer in the league.
