Gian Piero Gasperini delighted with Genoa draw

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini says that his team produced a "noteworthy performance" in their 3-3 draw with Udinese.

Genoa manager Gian Piero Gasperini has expressed his delight with his team's 3-3 draw against Udinese in Serie A.

The Rossoblu came from 3-1 down to earn a point after two second-half strikes from Alberto Gilardino.

"Today, Genoa turned in a noteworthy performance, which showed the team is growing. However, our first objective is still to avoid relegation," he told Rai Sport.

"We have lots of good young players such as [Mattia] Perin and [Moussa] Konate."

Genoa are currently 11th in the league table.
