Rafael van Vaart: 'Son Heung-Min should remain at Hamburg'

Rafael van der Vaart believes that Son Heung-Min should stay at Hamburg for his own good.

Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has advised his teammate Son Heung-Min to remain at the club.

The 20-year-old South Korea international has been linked with Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur among other clubs.

"I believe it would be better for Sonny to stay here for now," ESPN quotes Van der Vaart as saying.

"And I'm not only saying it because this is what I want. It is his first really good season.

"At the really big clubs, young players are more likely to be benched."

Son's current contract with Hamburg is due to run out in 2014.
