Demba Ba says that competition for places at Chelsea will make him a better player.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba has said that he will relish the challenge of competition at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Blues are believed to be in the market for another goalscorer this summer as Fernando Torres continues to misfire.

That has led to speculation regarding the likes of Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Son Heung-Min, but Ba said that he is not daunted by the prospect of competition.

Instead, he believes that it will bring out the best in his game.

"I'm at one of Europe's biggest clubs. Each year, they're going to bring in a striker, that's part of football," The Express quotes Ba as saying.

"It's what makes you better if you take it the right way. I work, I know what I can achieve. If they buy a new forward, it'll help me improve. I won't let myself be pushed around."

The Senegal striker has scored three times in nine appearances since moving from Newcastle United.
