Hartlepool United have completed the signing of Middlesbrough's Jordan Jones on a one-month loan deal.
The 20-year-old striker, who can also play as an attacking midfielder will attempt to help Boro's North-East neighbours avoid relegation from League Two.
Boro's Under-21 coach Paul Jenkins believes that the move is good for Jones, despite the forward playing a key part in his squad.
"We've had a terrific season so far at Under-21 level. We've never been out of the top four and Jordan had played a part in that," Jenkins told the club's official website.
"But this isn't about our Under-21 team, this is about developing players to have a future in the game.
"We've seen how loan moves have benefited players in the past and I've no doubt Jordan will learn a lot from Ronnie Moore. He's a man who has seen everything and deserves the respect he has within the game, Jordan can only benefit from spending time with people like that."
Jones's only senior appearance for the Championship side came in the FA Cup in 2013, when Boro faced Hastings at the Riverside Stadium.
