Half-Time Report: Genero Zeefuik puts Hearts on course to extend lead at the top

Genero Zeefuik's early goal sends Scottish Championship leaders Hearts into half time with a 1-0 lead over bottom club Livingston.

Hearts are in good stead to extend their hefty lead at the top of the Scottish Championship as Genero Zeefuik's early strike sends them into half time with a 1-0 lead against bottom club Livingston.

The league leaders took just four minutes to break the deadlock, with Dutch striker Zeefuik continuing his impressive form in front of goal by latching onto a long ball and curling a low shot into the corner.

Hearts had the chance to double their lead in the 11th minute when Jamie Walker combined with James Keatings and cut inside from the left, only to shoot wide of the mark.

Basement boys Livingston quickly recovered from their shaky start and began to match Hearts across the pitch, but were unable to penetrate their defence during the first period.
