Half-Time Report: Birmingham lead at half time

A goal late in the half from Callum Reilly gives Birmingham City the lead over Hudderfield Town.

Birmingham City head in at half time with a 1-0 lead over Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers made the better start to the game, pinning Birmingham into their own half in the opening stages.

James Vaughan had the first meaningful effort of the game after 15 minutes, shooting just over the bar after some good work from Jack Hunt

Sean Scannell had the first shot on target on 23 minutes after Neil Danns picked the forward out at the back post. Scannell's scissor kick produced an incredible save from Jack Butland.

The home side continued to pile on the pressure and almost took the lead against after a corner resulted in a scramble in the six-yard box before eventually being cleared.

The Blues had a chance on 37 minutes when a corner found Morgaro Gomis, who fired a volley straight at Alex Smithies.

Just before half time, Birmingham took the lead after Chris Burke's cross found Callum Reilly, who stabbed home to make it 1-0.
