David Wagner "proud" of Huddersfield Town performance

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner says that he is "proud" after the Terriers record their second successive win.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has said that he is "proud" of his charges after their win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

Nahki Wells's 78th-minute strike secured all three points for the Terriers to make it back-to-back wins and successive clean sheets as they moved up to 15th in the Championship.

"It was a very hard game. Our opponent was excellent in that they played aggressively and made the pitch tight; they didn't offer us many spaces. Today was really hard work for everybody," Wagner told the club's website.

"It was very nice for me to see how hard the lads worked. They never gave up and tried to stay focused on the game. They did a great job against a very organised team.

"Anyone connected with Huddersfield Town who saw this game can be proud of this performance. It is easy to play football if you create chance after chance and score goal after goal, but if it is tight and hard work you must concentrate for every single second and it isn't easy."

Next up for Huddersfield is a trip to MK Dons in midweek before they welcome Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town next weekend.
